A password over email isn't confidentiality
Client work under NDA. A project before it's been announced. Something a client has asked you to keep between the two of you. Showing it to the one person who needs to see it shouldn't carry the same risk as posting it publicly — but a password emailed over tells you nothing about who's opened it or whether it's been passed along, and a locked folder tells you even less.
